| On 22 September 2006, Virgin Trains ran Pendolino 390 047 non-stop from Glasgow Central to London Euston in a record time of 3 Hours 55 Minutes. The train carried a full load of passengers with all money going to the 'Heaven's Angels' charity, after which the Pendolino was named before departing Glasgow. The 1Z90 12.37 Glasgow - Euston was the first non stop run since 1947 and the first ever southbound sub 4 hour run. |
